As the Controller at FAAS, Velma oversees all things to do with numbers, working closely with clients and project mangers to help ensure that project goals are being reached. Velma completed her CGA level 5 accounting which helped propelled her to become a member of the National Payroll Association as a Registered Payroll Professional. Velma is not involved on the design side of our projects, but she is involved in every project at some capacity to help coordinate expenses and administrative duties. Since working at FAAS, Velma’s favourite thing here has been the freedom and trust that is given to the employees, which contributes to an environment where individuals can thrive and grow. Outside of the firm, Velma loves to travel as she tries to visit a new destination at least once a year. She also grew up on a farm where she learned about her love for gardening which has since become something that she continues to pursue as it reminds her of home.
