The site is situated in a desirable area in West Calgary that is recognized for its proximity and easy access to the Rocky Mountains. The site demands a unique approach with its sloped topography with views to environmental areas with pathways and its adjacency to high-end single family residential estate homes. The design intent for the Aspen Springs townhomes is to provide custom, high-end living spaces with ample opportunities for indoor-outdoor experiences. The architectural form is a four-storey townhouse with indoor spaces connected to the outdoors on every level and a large rooftop patio. Customizable options include a four-storey owners suite or entertaining space, and options for sunrooms, greenhouses and canopies to extend the enjoyment of the outdoors year-round. The materiality chosen reflects the modern design ethos of the community with brick and black metal cladding, and simple, modern articulation of the exterior.
