2004 South Calgary 9+9

2004 South Calgary 9+9 is a 9 unit and 9 suite development, arranged in a three-building configuration, which forms around a shared courtyard amenity. The innovative design addresses the challenging slope of the site by staggering the unit entrances, creating a roofline reminiscent of Alberta’s Mountain ranges. The courtyard configuration allows for maximized density while optimizing the number of units that face the street. Suites all have individual entrances off the courtyard space, independent from the upper unit entrances.

Each 3-storey townhouse unit is thoughtfully provided with an amenity space that faces toward the street, fostering a connection with the surrounding community. The suites, on the other hand, feature at-grade spaces adjacent to their unit entries. The selection of materials harmonizes seamlessly with the neighborhood context, ensuring a cohesive integration into the local community.
